The “Data Source” button has gone missing in a canvas Power App that you are working on. This seems to happen when you start with a canvas app template from make.powerapps.com. Blank canvas apps do not seem to be effected.
Databases are created, SQL Server DB user is created and assigned rights to the AdventureWorks DB, SQL Server services are up and running, TCP/IP is enabled, but Power BI still will not connect with SQL Server Express unless you use Windows authentication
I tried to import an Excel spreadsheet with 27000 rows into Dataverse for a Power App project for a customer. The import wizard offered by Microsoft for this purpose continually failed, so I had to find a workaround. I hope you find this info helpful, if you are also having trouble importing this sort of data.
I have a feature-complete Power App that will allow non-technical, non-IT colleagues to create new users and assign them to groups.
You need to programmatically access ALL available attributes for User and Group objects in Azure AD. This can be in Power Apps (like in my previous post), Power Automate, a completely separate app that is making calls to Microsoft’s Graph API, which is the backend API for Azure AD.
Coming from a background of writing automation scripts in PowerShell and PowerShell DSC, Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse and co.) can be damn frustrating.
